Autumn ‘18 Stonewashed Linen Shirt in Olive
Please allow 4-6 weeks for production time.
Our search for linen led us to a 170-year-old family farm in Flanders, the region known for producing the world’s best flax.
An inherently sustainable fiber, flax can be grown on low-value farmland and processed without chemicals and irrigation. It yields a fabric unmatched in durability and temperature regulation.
Made entirely in Belgium and carrying a Masters of Linen certification, our fabric is spun and woven at a carbon-neutral, solar-powered facility. The dyes that create our autumn palette meet the highest sustainability standards.
To finish the linen, it is tumbled in a barrel of pumice stones; this is not your typical chemical “stonewashing”. The final result is a substantial fabric with a broken-in hand that wears effortlessly.
Each shirt is made to order by our friend Yoshi, a highly skilled local patternmaker, using traditional construction techniques like French seams. They have a slim but relaxed cut and are finished with mother-of-pearl buttons.
If your clothes normally fit you well, we recommend you take your standard size. For those of you whose wrists hang out or who size up to get a long enough shirt, we’ve got you covered.
